Residents wishing to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit may do so by filling out an application which can be obtained on the Elbert County Sheriffs Web site or picking up and application at the sheriff's office at the detentions division.
(CCW Application part 1)Completed applications are accepted and processed on Tuesdays, Thursdays between 9:00AM and 3:00PM, also on Saturdays between 9:00AM and 2:00PM. Keep in mind that inmate meals and court appearances may require you to wait to be processed, the waits are normally short but necessary.
