Sex Offender Registration and Tracking:
The Detention Division for the Elbert County Sheriffs Office is the location within the county designated for adjudicated Sexual Offenders (SXO’s) to register. These individuals are court ordered to appear at the facility immediately after conviction to provide the sheriffs office with information on their conviction, location of residence within the county and quarterly or yearly requirement to register. Deputies assigned to this program monitor, track and keep lists on these offenders.
The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office, Denver Police Department, Park County Sheriff’s Office, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, Lone Tree Police Department, Parker Police Department, Castle Rock Police Department, Canon City Police Department, Fort Lupton Police Department, the Elizabeth Police Department, the Black Hawk Police Department, the Golden Police Department and the United States Marshal Service have teamed up to create a resource site of registered sex offenders living in our jurisdictions that fit the criteria of C.R.S. 16-22-110.
Our agencies believe that community education is paramount to our success as public safety providers. Please use the information responsibly and with the intent that “education creates prevention.”
