Medical staff: The Elbert County Sheriff's Office Detentions Division contracts with a detentions health care provider to tend to the medical needs of the inmates. A registered nurse is routinely at the facility to administer medication and evaluate minor medical problems. A doctor comes to the facility periodically to assist and evaluate inmates.
Centennial Mental Health provides counseling sessions for inmates, several times per week. Counselors hold alcohol and drug counseling, as well as sessions for mental health issues. Both individual and group sessions are held for inmates. This service is provided through grant funding to sheriff's offices throughout the state.
