The Patrol Division provides uniform law enforcement services to all of the residents in unincorporated Elbert County. Deputies assigned to the Patrol Division respond to more than 5,000 citizen-generated calls for service per year. The Patrol Division also enforces model traffic code and assists other agencies within the county.

Patrol Deputies responsibilities include:

• Investigation and completion of crime reports;
• Conduct follow-up investigation on assigned cases;
• Handle accident reports;
• Patrol neighborhoods and businesses to prevent crime;
• Provide mutual aid to other agencies;
• Enforce County and State laws;
