If the PENALTY ASSESSMENT box has been checked, ticket will need to be paid no later than 20 days from the date the ticket was issued by the Elbert County Sheriff's Office. We accept cash, personal check, or money order as payment for your ticket. We also accept major credit cards, as payment, but you MUST pay your ticket in person at the Sheriff's office, (information above).
If your payment has not been received within 20 days, the ticket becomes a summons and you are required to appear in court on date and time indicated on the front of the ticket. If you need to change your court date, you will need to contact Elbert County Courts at 303-621-2131.
If the SUMMONS box has been checked, you must appear in court on the date and time listed above that box. If you need to reschedule your court date, you will need to contact Elbert County Courts at 303-621-2131.
